Ink on styrene, copper, paint

5.5 x 6.5 x 13 in

For The Songbird Sings of Home, I asked people from around the world to send me stories from their childhood, written in their native language. The stories were then printed onto styrene and woven into bird nest sculptures. The languages range from Arabic, Chinese, Croatian, English, Finnish,

German, Italian, Korean, Russian, Spanish, and more.

The woven birds nests mount to the wall with a branch that has been fashioned from copper.
